Charlene and Eric's weddings was one of the highlights of my year! Charlene is an incredibly kind and patient individual - and it was such a joy to be her planner. Despite having 3 different wedding plans and dates (May, July, and then October!) she continued strong in her pursuit of wanting to marry her Eric in 2020! Charlene remained so calm during all of the reschedules and disappointments that the COVID year brought her way. When the final date was cancelled by her venue, she and Eric decided to move their wedding up a month and elope in Asheville at The Biltmore! Charlene and Eric had vacationed together often at the Biltmore and had always loved the romantic experience that they felt on the Biltmore's rolling hills and beautiful mountain views. We jumped on plans and changed up our original vendor team to accommodate their wishes - and we could not have asked for a more perfect day for them!
Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Diana location - which is the most perfect view of the Biltmore house! Their ceremony was intimate and full of meaning - their parents joined them, a few special family friends, and Charlene's two sisters and their families. The wedding party consisted of her 11 nieces and nephews. Charlene wore a stunning gown - fitted at the bodice and the bottom adorned in beautiful fabric rosettes.
After the ceremony, guests moved over to Lioncrest for a lively dinner reception. Lioncrest is such a wonderful, open air venue - complete with beautiful lighting and created such an ambience for their dinner backdrop. The dinner was intimate and special - as family members spoke of their love for Charlene and Eric. The beautiful thing about the size of their reception is that they really were able to spend intentional time with their family members and friends.
The Biltmore staff created an amazing wedding cake to mirror Charlene's dress - it was a show stopper design! Dream Events by Daria created luxurious florals throughout the ceremony and reception designs. Mason Dixon Designs created her full invitation suite - a beautiful drawing of the Biltmore and hand calligraphy for each individual invitation!
I loved getting to serve Charlene and Eric - it was so precious to witness how genuinely happy Charlene was on her wedding day. She couldn't stop smiling at Eric and talking about how lovely everything was. It certainly was a silver lining to the disappointments she experienced in her wedding planning journey.
To Charlene and Eric - may you enjoy a long and joyful marriage together!
With love, Becca
