Elizabeth and Nick: St. Michael's Ceremony and Stockroom Reception

In honor of their 1st year anniversary - we are finally blogging about this seriously sweet couple! I met Elizabeth and Nick at Panera over coffee. We instantly clicked. Elizabeth is that person that you see and wonder how they became so genuine and kind. She is one of the warmest and sweetest person we have ever had the pleasure to work with. Nick is just as wonderful and one of those grooms that you hope your daughter will end up with one day. I mean they are both teachers and met teaching at St. Michaels. How cute is that!?!  I loved meetings with these two! It was never a chore, nor was it ever dull! We laughed, chatted, and at times got a little real about life.

She sent us a random e-mail that she was looking for a house to rent for her family to stay in from Wednesday - Sunday. I replied back with - "well, I have this house -well venue actually - and it is free that weekend." This was the first time we had a group of people stay for an extended time. It was wonderful! We loved making the beds, washing the towels, making breakfast, and tending to their needs. They were the kindest people. I just loved that family! They held the rehearsal dinner there, and they invited everyone over for Sunday brunch the day after the wedding. It was one of those moments when you just got teary-eyed. THIS was what our vision was. Family and love. We were so grateful they chose us to host them for the weekend.

She had a beautiful vision for The Stockroom and we were so thrilled that she also chose to use Bushel and Peck for her flowers. Becca was the designer and she did a great job! She wanted simple, lots of greenery, and very natural.

Now this girl is gorgeous normally, but let me tell you- she was stunning in her dress. That dress! It was ah-mazing and fit her so perfectly- it looked like it was designed with her in mind.

We loved every aspect of this night. Brett with Blest Studios was a dream to work with. Ryan with SPIN kept us laughing and entertained with their seriously awesome taste in music. Beau Catering gave us a delicious meal that was the talk of the night. We ended in an epic confetti blast that was released at "the note" from Whitney Houston's I will always love you. Total disclaimer here- Confetti is NOT allowed at The Stockroom. We didn't know- we do now and we know why. I am still finding gold confetti around The Bradford and in my bridal kit.

Enjoy these photos from one of my absolute favorites from last year! It was one of those events that makes you love your job so much.

Mariana + Cody: NYE Wedding

Last year, I had the fun and the honor to work with one of my hometown buddies, Mariana, to pull off she and Cody’s AMAZING New Year’s Eve wedding.  Mariana and Cody are the sweetest people you’ll meet – you feel like you’ve known them forever when you meet them.  I’ve known Mariana since high school, way back to senior prom where her parents hosted a most memorable prom dinner for like 10 couples in their backyard.  The Garcias are a fun family who LOVES to have a great time and be around people they care about.  I knew they love a good party, so I knew this New Year’s wedding was going to be one to go down in the books.

Kelly and her team with Anchored in Love photography, captured these amazing images of the day.

Bushel & Peck//Erin and Brooks: Fall Wedding at the Stockroom at 230

I met Erin last year through another client of ours and immediately loved her simple, yet elegant style.  She chose deep, dark purples with sage and ivory accents for her Fall wedding colors.  We loved getting to work with her wedding day coordinator, Erin McCauley with Chesnut and Vine
What a classy couple!

Top 16 - Pre-Wedding Soiree at The Glass Box

I'm so excited to announce another Top 16 surprise today! One of my favorites in the series is this beautiful style shoot of the Glass Box venue - which was just recently published in Southern Bride and Groom magazine.  We are thrilled to be chosen to showcase our work in the magazine this year!  We are honored to be a part of such a wonderful group of Triangle wedding vendors.

The Glass Box is a new venue located in the Penthouse level of the popular historic venue, Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh. Our shoot was created to show off the incredible features of this venue which is made of mostly tall, stately windows that overlook downtown Raleigh.  The views are amazing!

The venue is certainly one-of-a-kind.  We recommend this venue as a upscale getting ready space for a bride and her girls.  It would also be the most unique Raleigh spot for a dinner party!

Casey Rose Photography did an incredible job at capturing the southern chic style we were planning on featuring.  If you are looking for a photographer who has an eye for detail and natural beauty - she is your choice!

We love the delicate colors chosen in the floral designs completed by The English Garden.

Frill Clothing provided some pretty perfect bridesmaid dresses, and our very own in-house model, Dana's sweet daughter, modeled a precious flower girl dress from Bella Bridesmaids.

Of course, the most fabulous gold linens were from CE Rentals and (one of my favorites) the elegant peach-colored vintage chair was provided by GreenHouse Picker Sisters

I can't say enough wonderful things about Makeup For Your Day - they rocked the models hair and makeup for this shoot!

Other vendors included: Bridesmaid satin robes from ChezBlanc, macaroons from Luccettegrace, bronze tanning by BronzeLeChic, and jewelry from Kendra Scott of Southpoint.
