Real Wedding: Lacey + Scott at Wrightsville Manor

I am not sure where to even start with this one! First - I can tell you how I actually came to meet this awesome couple. Robin (Lacey's momma) is my Mother in law's best friend from childhood. She reached out and asked if I could help get the logistics in order. Lacey was currently (and still) living in Colorado so they were doing lots of planning from afar and I think Robin's exact words were - "we need you so we don't kill each other." What I didn't get at that moment was how much they truly did love each other. Lacey and her mom are just the most entertaining, kind hearted, and truly fun people to be around. They are sarcastic with the driest sense of humor that I totally get - I mean I grew up with Courtney for goodness sake! I fit right in. Robin, her good friend Barbara and I set out on a whirlwind weekend of planning in Wilmington where we tasted food, met vendors, and got a better scope of the layout that was needed for her guests. I knew that this wedding was probably going to land in my top five purely on the relationship aspect.

I finally got to actually meet Lacey and Scott a few months prior to the wedding and it was like we should have been buddies in another life. The weekend was so fun and I got to get a real sense of Lacey and Scott and knew that their weekend was going to be amazing.

And it was. Everything was perfect from the rehearsal dinner (Wagon Wheel serenade included), to the morning getting ready, to the vows, to the party, to the after party - it was all perfect and so perfectly them. Eco Chic knocked it out of the park y'all! It was gorgeous. She had a very simple vision and it was executed perfectly. The food was spot on and the desserts were killer. It was truly a day where everyone that Lacey and Scott loved and cared about came together to celebrate the two of them. It was sad to see this day end, but I will say that I gained a friend who I can still text random things to. Whenever I randomly break out in laughter Court will ask -"Did Lacey just text you?" The answer is typically yes :)

Lacey and Scott - it was such a pleasure and I can't wait until you are in NC again so I can hug your neck!! Enjoy the photos from Erin Costa Photography!
