Becca Taylor

Hi all - a warm Southern greeting and hug I’d give you if we were meeting in person right now!  I love people - I always told my mom and dad that when I grew up I knew I wanted to work in a career where I worked with people directly - relationships!  I, like Maggie, am an enneagram 2w3 and so I value relationships over most things in life.

I grew up in a small town in eastern North Carolina.  I went to Meredith College, where I enjoyed planning college events and earned my Bachelor of Sciences degree in Family and Consumer Sciences.  I married my college sweetheart (a Wolfpacker!)  and best friend in 2008 at a beautiful Tuscany Italy - styled private residence.   I was one of the first C&D brides and loved the creative + planning part of my wedding so much that I quickly hopped on as one of the first C&D staff members.  With a career background in Interior Design and teaching, I thrive on being in a creative role and leading/managing others.

14 years in, and I’m still crazy about my husband.  I believe that the best things in life (including marriage) are so worth fighting for.  I have two precious little ladies - Liv, age 8 and Eva, age 5.  They keep me busy and are my greatest gifts in life!  In my spare time, I love being on the boat, trips to the beach, design projects in our modern farmhouse, hosting friends and parties at said house, pedicures, and a good book and a glass of wine!

I really love planning weddings - my favorite part of my job is getting to know my clients and their families.  I love the challenge of figuring out the best plans for wedding day logistics, designing a vision for a wedding day, and telling the story of my couple’s through their special day.  I love being able to stand back and see my couples create memories that in turn, create a legacy for their family.

My Favorite Triangle Venues are: The Parlour at Manns Chapel, The Meadows, The Barn of Chapel Hill

Morgan + Tyler - Southport

Wedding Invitations
Southport Bride
Mother of the Bride gift

Morgan and Tyler’s ceremony location was the old church ruins of Brunswick town - close to Southport, NC.  Morgan chose this venue because of it’s significance to her family - as a child she would visit Southport with her history-loving father.  There was something so sacred about their ceremony in the old ruins, knowing that it was a place of prayer and worship (and probably other marriages that went before theirs!) I love that Morgan was intentional to celebrate legacy throughout her intentional wedding design.

Morgan was a super special bride to me - she was extremely sentimental about weaving their story all throughout their wedding day design.  Morgan is also one of the most caring individuals I know - she made sure her vendors enjoyed a sit down dinner during her reception (something that rarely happens!)  She sought out to serve others on her wedding day - and I admired that so much about her!

Jackie + kevin: duke chapel

I love weddings rich in history and classic, elegant designs.  Jackie and Kevin, both Duke medical students, exchanged their vows at the historic Duke Chapel.  Duke Chapel wedding ceremonies are always incredibly sacred.  Jackie wore a stunning, royal looking bridal gown - it was so elegant!  I loved the classic colors of navy, black and white that were represented throughout the story.  I especially loved getting to watch Jackie celebrate with her 2 sisters.  It was evident that they had a very close bond!  And really, aren’t weddings all about who we celebrate with?

WHAT BECCA’S CLIENT SAY —

Becca is professional, thoughtful, and sweet, and her calming presence was so appreciated on our wedding day. She is the kind of person you want with you when you’re confused about shuttle prices or figuring out who is going to sit where with two sets of divorced parents. We opted for the full-service wedding planning package, and it was easily worth the money considering A- Becca is a serious pro at her job; B- My husband was in grad school and I was starting a business, so we didn’t have a ton of time to plan a wedding; and C- we had no idea what we were doing because we hadn’t planned a wedding before. Becca kept us organized and on track, she knew exactly what I was looking for design-wise and helped my wedding dreams come true. I can’t recommend Becca enough.
