Oh my , first things first, I wish I had known Lauren for so much longer! The moment we met, I absolutely fell in love with her. She is such a fun and wide open person. We spoke on the phone as she was planning the wedding from California. Wedding planning is already a slightly stressful ordeal, but doing it from across the country makes it even more intense. Lauren did it like a professional. Not to mention her now husband is in the military and a month after they got married he was set to deploy for 6 months!
The day came and it was absolutely stunning. You could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding day. It was a nice hot day, but luckily we were inside for the ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi and then to The Carolina Inn. The men were all dressed to the nines in tuxedos and the bridesmaids were in mixed shades of purple. The ladies all got ready at The Carolina Inn with their hair and makeup done by WINK. They then took Lifestyle Limo over to the chapel. The ceremony was so sweet and stunning! I mean really, I don't think I have ever seen a more attractive wedding party, as well as guest, at a wedding! One of the sweetest parts of the wedding was that Lauren's mom was her Matron Of Honor, and stood by her side the whole day! After a beautiful ceremony everyone headed back over to the cocktail hour hosted at The Carolina Inn.
The cocktail hour was full of life as the drinks were flowing and the apps were passed. One of the most interesting things about this whole wedding was that her uncle had made her a card box, which was really a bird house. It was hand carved for the bride and groom, and it took him about 6 months to make! The escort cards were gold animals, so each party animal could find their seat in the Old Wing for the reception.
The reception space was nothing short of breathtaking, as TreBella had filled the room with beautiful centerpieces and greenery as far as the eye could see. The dinner was an absolutely delicious buffet, and soon after the dances started! Frankie with Island Sound had everyone up and dancing the whole night! The only time people weren't dancing is when the speeches were made, and they were gifted with a Live Art painting of their first dance! It was incredibly sweet. Which speaking of sweet, Steven did the traditional cutting of the cake with his Military Sword! It was so perfectly fitted, because something as beautiful as a cake from Ashley Cakes needs something just as impressive to cut it. The night ended so perfectly with a sparkler send off, and the cheers of love to the bride and groom.
All and all this was one of the most surreal wedding days I was honored to be apart of. I know that Lauren and Steven are off on the right foot as you could feel all of the love for them through friends and family. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Spinelli, I wish you nothing but joy and happiness in your life. You are both so amazing, and light up every room you walk into. Thank you for letting me share and be apart of your life! Please check out the wonderful pictures captured by Amber with 6ft Photography.
