Real Wedding: Lizzie + Jordan at Duke Chapel and The Rickhouse

There are few people in the world that truly understand my geekiness. I have loved Chemistry from my very first day of Sophomore year in high school. I also really loved Math so I knew that when I went to college I wanted to major in Chemistry and Math and maybe physics (because who doesn't love physics?!?). Well I ended up with a BS in chemistry, a BA in math, and a minor in chemical physics. Nerd. I know. But I loved it and I really loved teaching it. Sometimes I miss the classroom and geeking on vectors and teaching kids about mol town. Then I come to my senses.

Well, when I sat down with Lizzie and Jordan over a coffee we started the usual "what do you do, how did you meet" convo, it came out they were grad students getting their degrees in chemistry! We talked awhile about nothing related to the wedding, but how much of a small world it was that I could (somewhat) understand what they were studying and all the cool things we loved about chemistry. I know you all are so jealous!

Once we did get on the subject of the weddings, we chatted about their vision, vendor team (which was awesome!) and what their needs were. They were pretty set, but needed help pulling the vision together. We decided on a for sure event management package and then a few weeks later we had a phone chat and she decided to add design help as well. I was super excited about this one. Not only was it my first copper wedding I was designing, but it was sleek, modern, and something different. I loved her vision! It was so fun taking her ideas and shaping them into her dream.

The day come together beautifully but I have to admit that the ultimate showstopper of the night was her and her dress. Not only is she always gorgeous, but she looked stunning, flawless, and like a real life celebrity on her day. Her dress was breathtaking. I could not stop sending pictures to people! Words would have never done it justice! It was and is still the most beautiful dress I have seen on a bride. Now that I am done school girl gushing- on to the fun stuff- pictures!!

Did I mention Lizzie had an awesome team?!? Vesic Photo with 21 films, and Randy with Joe Bunn made the night so easy, so fun, and perfectly smooth. So grateful to have great vendors to work with! Enjoy all the awesome photos!
