That is one of the biggest misconceptions about a wedding planner. Our relationships with vendors, cost saving ideas, and our bargain hunting can actually save you a lot of money! Take a look at the spreadsheet below of a full plan we did not too long ago. You will see that with all the money we saved her, it only ended up costing the bride about $223 for our services! This included 80 plus hours of work, unlimited meetings, vendor neogtiations, complete set-up, ceremony directing, reception directing, clean-up, a stress free day and peace of mind!

Neither one of us had a day of coordinator for our weddings. An aunt would help out with the ceremony, but for the reception, it was all us telling who to be where, deciding when the cake cutting, garter toss, and bouquest toss would be. We would constantly check the clock to make sure we got everything in before it was time to leave. Before the wedding, I remember driving to Wal-Mart with my hair in curlers because I forgot the votive candles and a pen for the guest book. We then hopped over to the reception to check and make sure it was all being set up right. We then rushed back to get our hair and make-up finished before the photographer got there. Don't get us wrong, we LOVED our weddings, but if we had to do it all over again, we would both hire a coordinator. Day of services allow you, your mom, bridal party, and Aunt Sally enjoy the day. You wont be getting a phone call telling you that the cake is late or the band is MIA. You truly get a stress free day that is all about you and your fiance.
We actually get told this a lot! We really listen to what you want for not only your wedding, but what you want from us. If you want us at every meeting, we will be right there. If you just want us to set-up the meetings, give you some questions to ask, and then just go with your groom or mom, that is fine too. If you want someone to tell you what to do when, we can make sure you stay on a planning schedule. If you want to take the reigns, and just have us chime in for logistics or ideas, that is fine too! We really tailor our services to your personality and to your needs. We are a really great team who are very different from each other in our personalities. For a full plan, you will get C or D that you will work with all the time and the other will consult on big meetings, and at checkpoints. So we typically pair up a bride with a planner that is most like them.
This is one of the aspects about C and D that really set us apart from other companies. We believe that to do an effective job, there has to be two people. For full plans we each have brides that we work with one on one. We meet often and give updates on the brides and bounce ideas off of one another. The other planner will come to big meetings - budget meetings, vision meetings, checkpoint meetings, and we both attennd all meetings a month prior to the wedding. For the day of, two of us will be there. One of us stays at the ceremony site until all pictures are done and the other will be at the reception site greeting guests and making sure everything is ready. We then meet back up at the reception site and direct it together until the end of the night. With two people, the wedding goes off with out hitch!

Like we have said before, we both planned our own weddings and loved it! Our parents paid us to go to college, so there wasn't an exorbant amount of money left over for our weddings (Luckily for them our weddings were 4 years a part). We had very tight budgets, but would not settle for anything less than our perfect wedding. We hunted for the best vendors and deals. It was a lot of work, but something we both found very enjoyable. My shining moment was when my grandmother asked my mom how they could afford a $40,000 wedding. Mom just laughed because she knew the wedding was only $15,000. After it was all said and done, we missed planning for the big day. As our friends got married, they consulted us on ideas, and tips to have a beautiful wedding. We loved helping them and getting to plan again. We decided that this is something that we wanted to pursue. We quickly decided on a motto "Your dream wedding on a real budget." That means that whatever budget you decide on whether it is $10,000 or $50,000, it is your dream wedding, We want every bride to feel spectacular and have the best day of their life. When we say goodbye before they are sent of to their honeymoon and they tell us that everything was perfect, it confirms how much we love our jobs.
